Fidelis Academy's Statement of Faith

At Fidelis Academy, our mission is rooted in a steadfast commitment to Biblical truth and Christian values. As a private Christian school, we are dedicated to educating students through a Christ-centered lens, nurturing both their academic and spiritual growth. We believe that every student is created in the image of God with a unique purpose and potential.

We affirm the following core beliefs:

  1. The Bible: We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the foundation for all we teach and the guide for how we live (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

  2. God: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who is the Creator and Sustainer of all things (Matthew 28:19).

  3. Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, and rose again to redeem us from our sins. He will return one day to reign as King (John 1:1-14, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

  4. Salvation: We believe that salvation is a gift of grace from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works but is given to those who repent and believe in Him (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10).

  5. The Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit indwells believers, empowering them to live a life that reflects Christ, bear fruit, and fulfill God's purpose (Galatians 5:22-23, Acts 1:8).

  6. The Church: We believe in the unity of believers in Christ, forming one Church body. As the Body of Christ, we are called to love, serve, and spread the Gospel to all people (1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Matthew 28:19-20).

  7. Family and Community: We believe in the God-ordained role of the family and its partnership with the church and school in raising children to honor God, live with integrity, and impact their communities (Deuteronomy 6:6-7, Proverbs 22:6).

At Fidelis Academy, we are committed to integrating these beliefs into every aspect of our educational experience. Our goal is to equip students not just academically but also spiritually, fostering competence, character, and commitment to God, family, and community.

Our Commitment to Excellence: Our Educational Philosophy

Nurturing Growth at Fidelis Academy

Guided by traditional Christian values, Fidelis Academy fosters a safe, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to take moral, physical, and intellectual ownership of their growth. We prioritize building strong, supportive teacher-student relationships, allowing students to thrive in a creative, home-like setting. Our mission is to unlock each child’s unique abilities, gifts, and talents through a focus on creativity, imagination, and innovation.

Educational Excellence at Fidelis Academy

At Fidelis Academy, we offer a comprehensive educational program designed to cultivate individuality and confidence in every student. Through a fun, effective, and personalized curriculum, we recognize and embrace each child's unique learning style, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.

By integrating the philosophical principles of the Trivium, we tailor our approach to match each student’s cognitive and emotional development. This customized learning experience empowers students to thrive both academically and personally, equipping them to excel in every area of life.

Our Mission

At Fidelis Academy, we partner with families to build a strong academic and spiritual foundation for children. We provide rigorous education during their most formative years, fostering a community of learners who seek God's heart and develop the skills to become world changers, “rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).

The Founding of Fidelis Academy

Fidelis Academy was founded by Dr. Rose Davilmar, a dedicated homeschooling mother of four. Driven by a desire for a more enriching academic environment, she sought an alternative to the conventional education options available. When she couldn't find a public or private school that met both the academic and spiritual needs she envisioned for her children, she developed a unique, individualized curriculum tailored to their learning and faith-based requirements.

Now, Dr. Davilmar is committed to extending this specialized, personalized learning approach to families like yours, offering a nurturing, faith-centered educational experience that fosters both academic excellence and spiritual growth.

Our Vision

We honor the God-given responsibility of parents to educate and guide their children. Fidelis Academy is committed to partnering with families to reinforce biblical principles and Christian character, supporting students in the unique path God has set for them. Our vision is to strengthen families holistically—spiritually, academically, socially, and physically.

The 3 C's

Education is important because ____________________________. How you complete this sentence shapes the decisions you make for your child's educational journey. For some, the answer may be “to get into a great college,” while others might say “to secure a good job.” While many public and private schools in the tri-county area provide the basic skills needed to prepare students for college or the workforce, they often miss the opportunity to develop the God-given talents and abilities unique to each child.

At Fidelis Academy, we believe that education is about far more than just math and reading.

If you agree that your child deserves more than just a standard education, keep reading. You’re likely someone who wants your child to have a strong academic foundation while also being spiritually prepared for higher education and a fulfilling life.

Our Approach: A Partnership in Education

At Fidelis Academy, we see ourselves as partners in your child’s educational journey. We collaborate with parents to develop a personalized academic plan tailored to each student, using the SMART model (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Technologically advanced). Together, we set meaningful goals that empower students to reach their fullest potential.

Our Core Beliefs

  • Faith, Morals, and Values: We believe that a strong moral foundation is essential for students to grow into productive members of society.

  • Christian Worldview: At Fidelis Academy, we view Christianity not just as a set of beliefs but as a way of life. We emphasize the importance of nurturing an interpersonal relationship with Jesus, guiding students to develop both spiritually and academically.

If these values align with what you seek for your child's education, Fidelis Academy is here to partner with you in developing their character, competence, and commitment.
